God is mindful of us. Today, the meditation of my heart expresses a desire to be mindful of God. If I’m careful and attentive to my Creator, aware of another’s presence—especially a presence so pertinent—how much better will I behave?
There’s a challenging quote by Dorothy Draper that came to my attention. “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not.” Integrity is not something one is born with, rather a learned set of principles. The test is what you actually do behind closed doors when no one is looking, or when you accomplish something great when no one is made aware. But there is someone who watches, and not only watches but holds his breath with great hope and anticipation that we do the right thing. If we fail, welcome to humanity. Then try again. The beauty of being mindful of God is that we also discover his unconditional love. Have a mindful day.
