Never a dull moment

The other day I told someone I was taking my son to the doctor because he had a bad cough. Then, I wondered, why did I feel the need to throw in the word “bad”? Is there anything good about a cough? Does a good cough exist that opposes a bad cough? 

Imagine having to live with me, the woman of a thousand (mostly superfluous) questions.
